Picnics are very popular with many of our racegoers and can be consumed in our Family Enclosure or car parks. Please note Plastic cutlery only is permitted.

Please note that our Family Enclosure is not always open (please check our website). During the summer and in particular our Newmarket Nights and Summer Saturday Live the Family Enclosure sells out, access will ONLY be given to customers who have pre-purchased Family Enclosure tickets.

Access to the Family Enclosure with an Annual Badge will not be possible during sell-out event. During these sell-outs and closures, picnics can only be consumed in our car parks.

Please note that food and drink cannot be taken into the Premier Enclosure and only food and drink purchased from our racecourse vendors can be consumed in the  Grandstand and Paddock Enclosures.

Important Information

Picnic/ Alcohol Policy

Patrons are permitted to bring picnics into the Family Enclosure only (please see above). Alcohol can only be brought in with a substantial picnic and it is limited to one bottle of wine or champagne per person or 4 cans of beer, cider or pre-mixed aperitif. Unfortunately, spirits, fortified wines and Pimm's or similar will not be allowed onto the racecourse.

Rowley Mile: When the Family Enclosure is closed picnics can only be consumed in our car parks.

Alcohol-Free Area - No alcoholic drinks are permitted trackside in the Premier Enclosure.  We have a long-standing policy in the Premier Enclosure whereby alcoholic drinks or hot drinks without a lid cannot be taken stand side to ensure this area remains a comfortable, relaxed area to enjoy the racing. You may take food and drink purchased at our racecourses vendors trackside within the Grandstand & Paddock Enclosure.
