Rowley Mile & Adnams July Course Dress Code
Racegoers at Newmarket like to make it a special occasion and choose to dress accordingly. Ladies and gentlemen are encouraged to dress up smartly in the Premier Enclosure. Most gentlemen would choose to wear smart trousers, shirt and formal shoes to complete the look. So whilst there is no formal restriction on wearing jeans, these are rarely seen in the Premier Enclosure and not permitted in our hospitality areas. However, if you would like to wear jeans, please ensure they are dark denim ONLY. Many ladies opt for a hat, although this is not compulsory and they are not generally worn for our music events. Imagine you are going to a smart wedding is our tip. Smart tailored shorts are acceptable in the warm weather.
Please be aware that trainers, ripped, torn or light jeans, cargo shorts, t-shirts, fancy dress, sportswear or swimwear and unduly casual attire is not accepted as appropriate dress in the Premier and Hospitality Enclosures.
Please note the dress code also applies to children aged 14 and above.
In Grandstand & Paddock and Family Enclosure the dress code is more relaxed; jeans, t-shirts and trainers are acceptable. The only common sense restrictions would be those of taste and appropriateness which would apply to all areas, for example regarding slogan t-shirts and swimwear. Bare chests are not acceptable.
Fancy dress is permitted at Newmarket Racecourses in the Grandstand & Paddock and Family Enclosure areas only. Fancy dress must be in good taste so as not to cause offence.
Newmarket Racecourses reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone deemed to be dressed inappropriately. If you have any questions call our Customer Relations Team prior to the race day on 01638 675500 option 4
In the event of one or all or your party being refused admission, no refund will be offered.
